Disney's Trivia Challenge - for Canadian Travel Agents

  1. TO ENTER THE TRIVIA CHALLENGE: No Purchase Necessary.  Commencing May 21, 2002 Canadian Travel Agency personnel (excluding the Province of Québec) will receive direct fax broadcasts and e-mails identifying how to enter the “Disney Trivia Challenge”.
  2. HOW TO PLAY:
    1. Visit “Disney’s Trivia Challenge – for Canadian Travel Agents” engine website at www.TriviaEngine.com/DisneyTravel.
    2. If this is your first time playing you will need to click on the “Register” button to register for the  “Disney’s Trivia Challenge – for Canadian Travel Agents” game.
    3. A “Disney Trivia Challenge – for Canadian Travel Agents” Registration form will be displayed. Complete each required field. The “Screen Name” you select will be displayed on the the “Score board”. Choose a password, enter your business email address, your first and last name, the Travel Agency name where you are employed, complete Travel Agency address, and daytime telephone number, answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, the mathematical skill-testing question. Click the “Continue” button and a separate browser window will display the “Official Rules”, review the “Official Rules” and after you have reviewed the “Official Rules” click the “Sign In” button thereby acknowledging that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the “Official Rules”. You are now ready to begin playing “Disney’s Trivia Challenge – for Canadian Travel Agents”.  
    4. There will be a total of four (4) rounds of trivia questions available between May 21, 2002 and June 15, 2002 referred to as the “Contest Period”. The first round of trivia questions will commence at 12:01 am (ET) on May 21, 2002. The second round of trivia questions will commence at 12:01 am (ET) on May 27, 2002. The third round of trivia questions will commence at 12:01 am (ET) on June 3, 2002. The fourth round of trivia questions will commence at 12:01 am (ET) on June 10, 2002. All rounds close at 11:59 PM (ET) June 15, 2002, the Challenge Contest Closing Date.
    5. Begin by selecting a round and answering each trivia question.  Only your first play within each round will count towards your overall score. 
    6. Upon completion of your first round, the game will calculate your score and your ranking. This score will be totaled with your first play of the other rounds that you will play and entered as your entry into the prize selection process after the Challenge Contest Closing Date.
    7. Scores are based on the time it takes to correctly answer each trivia question within a round.
    8. You may play the preceding round or rounds as are available, (i.e. if you are playing in the third round, both the first and second rounds are available to play along with the third round). Remember only your first play within each round will count towards your overall score and the prize selection process, however you may play as often as you wish.
  3. ELIGIBILITY:  To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be employed as a travel agent and a resident of Canada, excluding travel agents and residents of the Province of Québec, who has reached the age of majority in the jurisdiction in which he/she resides and who is not an employee of The Walt Disney Company (Canada) Ltd, (the “Promoter”), located at 200 Front Street West, Suite 3000, Toronto, Ontario M5K 3L4 and contactable at (416) 923-3334, its affiliated companies or agents, Dunedain Multimedia Inc., their respective advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest organization or a member of any such employee’s immediate family (regardless of where they live) or household (whether related to the employee or not).  In these Official Rules, “immediate family” includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters or spouse.
  4. PRIZES:  There will be a total of 100 prizes available to be won. Prizes will be awarded in order of highest score to the lowest score.

The prize package consists of one (1) 100 Years of magic duffle bag filled with, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Pen Set, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Golf Shirt, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Padfolio, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Baseball Hat, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Travel Mug, one (1) 4-park photo frame three (3) Classic Animated Disney Videos, one (1) Trading Pin Set, one (1) “Mickey & Best Friends” Clock, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Black Band Watch and one (1) Mickey Silhouette Bathrobe. Approximate retail value of prize package $375.00 CDN.
    3. Two (2) “SILVER EARS” prizes packages available to be won. Each prize package consists of one (1) 100 Years of Magic blue bag filled with, one (1) 100 years of Magic Black Band Watch, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Golf Shirt, one (1) 100 Years of Magic mini-padfolio, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Baseball Hat, one (1) 100 Years of Magic Travel Mug, one (1) Trading Pin Set, one (1) 4-park photo frame, two (2) Classic Animated Disney videos. Approximate retail value of each prize package $150.00 CDN.
    4. Twenty (20) 100 Years of Magic briefcases are available to be won. Approximate retail value $45.00 CDN each.
    5. Fifteen (15) 100 Years of Magic Black Band Watch are available to be won. Approximate retail value $30.00 CDN each.
    6. Twenty-five (25) 100 Years of Magic golf shirts are available to be won. Approximate retail value $30.00 CDN each.
    7. Ten (10) 100 Years of Magic mini-padfolios are available to be won. Approximate retail value $25.00 CDN each.
    8. Ten (10) Disney 4-pack photo frames are available to be won. Approximate retail value $25.00 CDN each.
    9. Ten (10) 100 Years of Magic travel mug are available to be won. Approximate retail value $15.00 CDN each.
    10. Seven (7) 100 Years of Magic baseball hats are available to be won. Approximate retail value $15.00 CDN each.

 All prizes must be accepted as awarded without substitution and are not transferable or convertible to cash. The Promoter reserves the right, in the event that a prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute a similar prize of equal or greater value, without liability. Prizes may not be exactly as shown on “Disney’s Trivia Challenge – for Canadian Travel Agents” engine website .

  1. SELECTION PROCESS: The selection process will commence on June 19, 2002 at 10:00 am (ET) (the ‘Selection Process”). The Selection Process will be as follows; the one hundred (100) entrants with the highest total overall score during the Contest Period will be selected for a Prize with the highest overall score receiving the “Gold Ears” prize, 2nd  & 3rd highest overall scores receiving the “Silver Ears” prize and so forth. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of participants during the Disney Trivia Challenge period. In the event that there is a tie a player who registered earlier in the contest period shall be deemed to have a higher ranking than a player who registered later.
  2. GENERAL:  By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by the Official Rules and the decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the contest, which are final.
  3. Before being declared a winner, selected entrant’s answer to the mathematical skill-testing question posed on the Trivia registration form must be verified and deemed to be correct. By entering you confirm compliance with the Official Rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Promoter, its affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any liability in connection with the prize or this contest.  Prizes will be delivered within 30 days of the Selection Process to each winner’s address as stated on the Trivia Game Registration Form.
  4. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the contest or any prize associated with the contest. By entering, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, address (city and province) and/or photograph without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Promoter with respect to this contest.
  5. The Promoter will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, incomplete or destroyed entries.  The Promoter does not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer line or network, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof.  Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.  
  6. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or amend this contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice and without liability. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or infection by computer virus, the Promoter, at their sole discretion, reserve the right to cancel the contest.  The Promoter shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the contest including but not limited to any damage to an entrant’s computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of the entrant’s participation in this contest.
  7. All entries become the permanent property of the Promoter and none will be returned.   This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
  8. The Promoter respects your right to privacy. The Promoter’s agent conducting the online contest for Promoter, Dunedain, and Dunedain’s contest organization, Promotions Solutions, will only use the information you provide to conduct the contest and fulfill the prize awards. Your name, employer, physical business address and telephone number will be used by Promoter for purposes not inconsistent with current applicable law. Promoter will use your business email as you indicated on the Trivia Game Registration Form.
